시각장애학교 미술수업의 현황과 개선방향

Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is to provide basic data required to enhance efficiency of art education for students of the schools for visual impairments through presentation of desirable measures for art education as well as systematic analysis of educational demand for art class by the students of the school for visual impairments. The results by the research are as follows. Firstly, the most common activity in art class was hand works with convenient materials such as clay and so on. What was found as inconvenient or difficult in connection with art textbook is that most of the students don’t have textbooks to refer to during class. The most preferred activity in the field of experience is searching for natural objects such as trees and flowers etc. and in the field of expression the best number of students with congenital or acquired visual impairments, regardless of male or female chose molding activities mainly consists of craft and embellishment, and in the field of appreciation students in elementary, middle, and high school consistently chose appreciation of art. Secondly, the educational demand of students of the school for visual impairments was individual guidance method whereby students are taught through circuitous teaching whilst expressing personal artwork according to main theme. Students in elementary and middle schools wanted teacher to be more complimentary and cheerful while those in high schools preferred teacher who allow them to do what they want in the class. Also, most of the students answered what they most liked to do in art class was hand craft. To the question about students' wish in art class in the future, most of them answered they hoped the teacher to engage students in more interesting way to lesson, and to the question about what were inconvenient things or desired improvement in art class they wished to have more diverse materials at the time of production of art works.
