본 연구는 장애극복 사례 활용이 초등학생의 장애수용 태도의 인식적 측면과 행동적 측면에 미치는 효과를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 경상남도 거제시 소재 A초등학교, 5학년 2개반의 아동 80명(남 41명, 여 39명)이었으며, 연구도구는 2가지의 설문지를 사용하였고 훈련도구는 인터넷 신문 자료와 영상자료를 사용하였으며, 자료처리는 SPSS(12.0) 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였는데, 사전ㆍ사후 검사 비교를 위해 t 검증을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과와 논의를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애수용 태도의 인식적 측면에 미친 효과는 장애아동에 대한 인식이 사전검사의 부정적인 면에서 긍정적인 상태로 변하였음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 장애극복 사례 활용을 통하여 초등학생의 장애수용 태도의 행동적 측면은 학교생활, 개인생활, 취미ㆍ오락ㆍ기타 면에서 현저하게 긍정적인 수용태도를 갖게 되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the effects utilizing cases of overcoming disability on the elementary school student’s attitudes toward disability. The Subjects of this study were go elementary students <41 boys, 39 girls>. For this research, I selected some children from 2 classes of 5th grade in A elementary school in Geo-je city, Gyungsang-namdo. I used two kinds of questionnaire as research tools, from which I used 20 questions to study the cognitive phase of disability-accepting attitude and 25 questions to study the behavioral phase of it. I used image materials and internet news as a training tool. And I used SPSS(12.0) statistics program for date processing, and I analysed it and carried out t-test(which verifies the average gap) for a comparison between the preliminary exam and the post. The results of this study were as follows; First, utilizing cases of overcoming disability had positive effects on making normal children have a positive acceptive attitude toward disabled children in the cognitive phase. For example, before applying‘disability-overcoming cases’program, they frequently used negative adjectives like‘dull’,‘feeble’,‘alone’,‘unkempt’,‘unfortunate’ and so on, to represent the disabled children. But after applying the program, the frequency lowered. Second, by utilizing cases of overcoming disability, normal elementary school students came to have positive disability-accepting attitudes in their school lives, private lives, hobbies, entertainments and so on, which were the behavioral phases of disability-accepting attitudes.
