장애이해프로그램 적용이 장애아동에 대한 비장애아동의 인식과 태도에 미치는 영향: K 초등학교를 중심으로

본 연구는 초등학교 비장애아동에게 장애이해프로그램을 적용하여 장애아동에 대한 인식과 태도가 어떻게 변하는지를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 초등학교 비장애아동 34명의 학생이다. 이들을 대상으로 주1회 40분씩 8회에 걸쳐 장애이해프로그램을 적용하고 장애아동에 대한 인식과 태도변화를 살펴보았다. 연구 절차는 사전검사-장애이해프로그램 적용-사후검사로 진행하여 실험집단의 종속변인을 비교 분석하는 사전·사후 검사이다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애이해프로그램은 장애아동에 대한 비장애아동의 인식을 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과가 있었다. 장애이해프로그램에 참여했던 실험집단은 감정과 신체적 외모, 학습행동과 사회적 행동을 묘사하는 전체 점수가 긍정적으로 증가되었다. 둘째, 장애이해프로그램은 장애아동에 대한 비장애아동의 수용태도를 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과가 있었다. 장애이해프로그램에 참여했던 실험집단은 사회적 접촉의도, 일탈된 행위에 대한 반응, 경도의 일탈된 행위에 대한 반응에 대한 전체 점수가 긍정적으로 증가되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 볼 때 장애이해프로그램은 비장애아동의 장애아동에 대한 장애인식 및 수용태도를 긍정적으로 변화시켰음을 확인할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study has the objective to get the result of how awareness and awareness and attitude toward the handicapped of non-handicapped children in elementary school is changing by applying handicap understanding program. This study was performed on the subject of 34 elementary school students. The handicap understanding program was reconstructed according to the various strategies proposed in the previous studies to improve awareness and receptive attitude of the non-handicapped on handicapped children. In this study, dependent variable on experimental group by proceeding preliminary test-application of handicap understanding program-posthumous test was analysed and compared. The summary results of this study are as follows. First, handicap understanding program had positive effects on changing the awareness of the non-handicapped towards handicapped children. The total scores describing emotion, physical appearance, learning behavior and social behavior was improved Second, handicap understanding program had positive effects on changing receptive attitude of the non-handicapped toward handicapped children. Total scores on the intention of social contact, reaction to deviational behaviors, and reaction to mild deviational behaviors was improved. From the result of the study, we can conclude that handicap understanding program could improve awareness and receptive attitude on the handicapped of non-handicapped children.
