청각장애학교 교사의 수어평가에 대한 인식과 효율적인 교사 수어인증 방안

청각장애학교 교사의 수어평가와 인증에 대한 인식과 수어평가 및 인증 방안을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각장애학교 교사는 국가공인 수어통역사 시험제도로 교사의 수어를 평가하고 인증하는 방안에 대해서 부정적으로 인식하는 경향이 높으며, 별도의 교사 수어평가와 인증방안 역시 불필요하다는 인식이 많았다. 교사 수어 평가와 인증이 필요한 이유는 교사 스스로 수어 향상을 위한 동기유발 가능, 수어통역사 시험과는 다른 별도의 교사 수어평가가 필요함, 교사의 수어능력 점검 가능, 기타, 인증 제도를 통한 인센티브 제공으로 교사 사기 고양 순이었다. 둘째, 청각장애학교 교사들은 선호하는 수어평가와 인증 방법으로 수어능력 시험 검사 도구를 활용한 평가, 기타, 인터뷰와 평가척도(루브릭)를 활용한 평가, 수업 장면 촬영과 평가척도를 활용한 평가 순이었다. 가장 효율적인 인증기관은 국립특수교육원이나 교육청과 같은 공기관 인증 방법 활용, 학교 자체적으로 인증하는 방법 순이었다. 수어인증 단계 중 가장 선호하는 방식은 초급-중급-고급의 3단계, 인증-비인증 또는 1급-2급의 2단계 순이었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 청각장애학교 교사의 효율적인 수어평가와 인증방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine teachers’ perception and awareness of sign language assessment certification. The findings of the study are as followings: firstly, teachers of deaf and hard of hearing students tend to have negative perception about attaining certification for sign language fluency. However, teachers who supported sign language assessment and certification indicated that the reasons needed sign language assessment and certification include motivation for improving sign language skills, needs for sign language fluent test for teachers, continued monitoring of sign language skills of teachers, and increasing of teachers’ motivation, etc. Secondly, with regard to Korean Sign Language(KSL) fluency assessment, teachers of deaf and hard of hearing students tend to prefer to use KSL fluency test, interview and rubric assessment, and classroom discourse analysis and rubric. The most preferred test institute was public education institute like Korean National Institute of Special Education, or schools for the deaf. The most preferred certification with levels was beginning, intermediate, and master levels, certification or no certification, and advanced or mater levels. Based on the results of the study, implications for effective sign language fluency assessment and certification were discussed.
