이 연구는 당사자 관련 주요 핵심 관련자 집단을 대상으로 중복발달장애인의 고용, 경제활동 그리고 직업생활의 질을 제고하기 위한 방안을 알아보고자 하였다. 이 연구의 목적을 위해 당사자 관련 주요 핵심 관련자 8인을 대상으로 개별면담을 실시하였으며, 사례연구와 지속적 비교방법의 이론적 틀을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 크게 중복발달장애인 고용 현실의 구조적 문제, 정책 대상으로서의 중복발달장애인의 개념화, 고용에 대한 확장적 개념으로써의 사회적 참여의 개념화, 중복발달장애인을 위한 고용서비스 지원의 요구와 제도적 개편의 측면이 대주제로 범주화되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 중복발달장애인의 고용모델 개발의 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The objective of this study is to investigate ways to improve the overall quality of employment, economic activities, and daily life for persons with developmental disabilities by using information gathered from qualitative interviews. Individual interviews were conducted with academic professionals from within the field, and subsequently analyzed using the theoretical framework of the grounded theory and constant comparative method. The results showcase that the systemic barriers of employment for people with developmental and multiple disabilities are comprehensively pervasive. The operational definition of people with developmental and multiple disabilities as a policy target were also discussed. This study conceptualized the notion of social participations as an expansive approach to employment for developmental and multiple disabilities. The demands for employment service support for people with developmental and multiple disabilities were categorized by major themes regarding either aspect of policy reform. Based on these results, we discuss the possibilities for developing an efficient employment model for people with developmental and multiple disabilities.
