본 연구의 목적은 청각장애인의 농문화 인식이 이중문화 정체성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 농문화 인식과 이중문화 정체성의 관계에서 수어인식의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국립국어원의 ‘2020년 한국수어 활용조사’에 참여한 청각장애인 539명의 조사데이터를 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 청각장애인의 농문화 인식은 이중문화 정체성에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청각장애인의 농문화 인식과 이중문화 정체성의 관계를 수어인식이 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 청각장애인의 농문화 인식과 이중문화 정체성 형성을 지원하고, 긍정적인 수어인식을 갖도록 하기 위한 교육방안을 모색하고 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of deaf cultural perception on bicultural identity of deaf people, and to examine the moderating effect of sign language perception in the relationship between deaf culture perception and bicultural identity. For this purpose, survey data of 539 deaf people who participated in the ‘2020 Korean Sign Language Utilization Survey’ by the National Institute of the Korean Language were used and analysed. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the deaf culture perception had a significant positive effect on the bicultural identity. Second, it was found that sign language perception regulates the relationship between deaf culture perception and bicultural identity. Based on the results of this study, educational methods were sought and discussed to support deaf culture perception and bicultural identity formation and to have positive sign language perception.
