맞춤형 보조기기 수요 분석에 따른 제작 지원 사례 소개: 대구경북 지역 보조기기센터 중심으로

본 연구는 대구경북 지역의 보조기기센터를 중심으로 맞춤형 보조기기 수요 분석 및 제작 지원 사례를 조사하여 지역사회 기반 보조기기 서비스의 발전 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 참여적 실행연구 방법을 적용하여 7개 기관을 대상으로 찾아가는 수요 조사와 온라인 수요조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 총 64건의 수요 중 일상생활용 보조기기(64.1%)와 이동보조기기(18.8%)에 대한 수요가 높게 나타났으며, 3D 프린팅 기술을 활용한 맞춤형 제작은 사용자의 신체적 특성과 사용 환경을 정밀하게 반영한 제작을 가능하게 하였다. 맞춤형 보조기기 제작 지원은 사용자의 기능적, 심리사회적, 경제적 측면에서 긍정적 효과를 보였으나, 지속적인 관리와 피드백 체계가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 지역사회 기반의 맞춤형 보조기기 서비스 모델을 제시하고, 사용자 중심의 통합적 서비스 체계 구축과 전문 인력 양성, 적정기술 적용 등의 발전 방향을 제안했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzed customized assistive device needs and manufacturing support cases in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk region to suggest development directions for community-based assistive device services. Using participatory action research methodology, we conducted on-site surveys at seven institutions and online needs assessments. Among the 64 identified needs, daily living assistive devices (64.1%) and mobility assistive devices (18.8%) showed the highest demand. Custom manufacturing using 3D printing technology enabled precise production reflecting users' physical characteristics and usage environments. The customized assistive device manufacturing support demonstrated positive effects in functional, psychosocial, and economic aspects; however, continuous management and feedback systems were found to be insufficient. Four representative cases from different assistive device categories illustrated how customized manufacturing addressed individual user needs effectively. This study is significant in both presenting a community-based customized assistive device service model and suggesting development directions—including user-centered integrated service systems, professional training, and appropriate technology applications. These findings emphasize the importance of sustainable support systems and inter-institutional collaboration for enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities through customized assistive devices.
