교육본위론의 관점으로 「김안국 이야기」 다시 읽기- 협동교육의 구조를 중심으로

『동상기찬』에 실린 「김안국 이야기」에는 글자를 해독하지 못하는 주인공이 나온다. 주인공의 아내는 이야기를 풀어서 설명하는 방법으로 글과 책의 내용을 익히게 한다. 이와 같이 아내의 도움으로 주인공은 글자를 해독하게 되고, 글공부도 훌륭하게 해낸다. 그래서 이 작품은 교육의 시각으로 새롭게 읽을 수 있는 작품이다. 교육에 대해 밝힌 많은 연구들이 있지만, 장상호의 교육본위론은 교육을 본질적인 것으로 여기고 다른 것들은 부수적인 것으로 보는 관점이다. 따라서 이 글에서는 「김안국 이야기」를 교육본위론의 관점으로 다시 읽어보고, 이런 교육학적 독법이 교육에 어떤 시사를 주는 지를 살펴보았다. 「김안국 이야기」의 김안국과 그의 아내 이씨 부인은 바람직한 협동교육의 관계를 맺었기 때문에, 교육의 내재율에 충실한 교육활동을 할 수 있었다. 교육의 본질과 가치를 문학 작품을 통해서도 새롭게 밝혀보는 일은 교육 연구의 지평을 넓힌다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 앞으로도 교육의 내재율에 대한 꾸준한 탐구를 계속하여 진정한 교육적 삶을 발전시켜 나가야 할 것이다.
Abstract
In “Kim An-guk Story(金安國)”, which is listed in “Dongsanggichan(東廂記纂),” the protagonist who cannot decipher the letters. His wife teaches him the content of texts and books by explaining the stories. As such, with the help of his wife, the main character comes to decipher letters and study well. Therefore, this work can be read anew from the perspective of education. There have been many studies regarding education, but in Chang Sang-ho’s endogenous theory of education, education is regarded as essential while the others are considered incidental. Therefore, in this article, “Kim An-guk Story” is reread from the perspective of an endogenous theory of education, and the paper looked at some implications that such educational reading has for education. Kim An-guk in “Kim An-guk Story” and his wife, Mrs. Lee had a desirable educooperational relationship, so they were able to engage in educational activities that were true to the intrinsic rules of education. It is meaningful to show the essence and value of education through literary works in that it expands horizons of educational research. In the future, we should continue to explore the intrinsic rules of education to develop a true educational life
