In the second half of the 1920s, amid the social movement of Cheondogyo(the religion of Heavenly Way) being imperiled, Yi Don-Hwa published a book titled Suun Simbeop Gangui, and encompassed socialist thoughts, while emphasizing the theory of terrestrial paradise, and thus promoting the superiority of Cheondogyo over socialism. In the meantime, in 1927, he developed New Human Philosophy, and in 1931 published a book on it. Through the philosophy, he attempted to integrate the shown division of religion and society through new ideals and values; he paid attention to philosophy, which was used as a medium in promoting religion in society, and attempted to use it as a form of encompassing new ideals and values. Sinin Cheolhak(New Humann Philosophy), which was comprised of 5 Parts and 17 Chapters, synchronically dealt with religious ideals, improvement of the reality, and practical values and norms as a medium between ideals and reality, upholding realistic idealism. Diachronically, the book epitomized his theoretical exploration in three phases in 1910-1920. Yi Don-hwa offered ideals and values of Suunjuui(Cheondogyo philosophy) with focus placed on humanity.
