초록
This paper is reviewing the process from the transfer of King Danjong's throne to death. Through this, it was noted that the ruling forces, which succeeded in the coup, crowned Prince Suyang and rationalized the removal of King Danjong. Jeongnan Gongshin solved the immediate task by driving Prince Geumseong and other opposition royal figures as traitors. They won the transfer of King Danjong's throne through rumors of collusion between Prince Geumseong and Hyebin Yang. In addition, through the incident of the Six Executed Ministers, the legitimacy of the abolition was established by insisting on the pre-recognition theory of King Danjong. In addition, through the Song Hyun-soo case, Danjong's abolition and exile were carried out, and through the Prince Geumseong case, Danjong was killed. In the Annals of Sejo, it is depicted as if the death of King Danjong was neither by Sejo's order nor by the decision of the court. It is just described as if Danjong himself committed suicide in anxiety. What is clear, however, is that Sejo's aides hoped for Sejo to ascend the throne and the removal of King Danjong. And the fact that such a wish led to the death of Danjong through a series of treason cases.
