A Research Theory on the Change and Regionality of Cylindrical Bottles of Silla in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province

In this paper, the types of Silla cylindrical bottles excavated from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were classified, and the temporal and spatial characteristics were identified to examine the process of change and regional characteristics. The process of change is divided into five stages according to the horizontal lines and pattern composition of the bottle surface, and the period of each stage is set from the end of the 7th century to the beginning of the 10th century. The flow of change appeared in the A type(bisection+decorated with partial patterns) in the late 7th century, and it was definitely changed to the Ba type (multiple division+full patterns) from the end of the 7th century to the first half of the 8th century. From the late period of the late 8th century, the Bb type, in which the number of horizontal lines on the surface of the bottle gradually decreases and the patterns disappear, became popular. Finally, in the late 9th century, the horizontal lines and patterns on the surface of the bottle were changed to the C type, which disappeared.
