Abstract

This study examines the causal relationship between learner class engagement (cognition, emotional, behavioral) and class satisfaction, and explores the mediating role of team learning activities. It also investigates how intra-team interaction moderates the effect of multidimensional learner class engagement on team learning activities. A total of 98 applied chemistry students at K University participated in the study. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted to ensure the validity of the variables, while hierarchical regression analysis tested the study's hypotheses. The findings revealed that: First, behavioral engagement directly influenced class satisfaction; Second, team learning activities partially mediated the link between behavioral engagement and class satisfaction; and Finally, intra-team interaction moderated the effects of cognitive and emotional engagement on team learning activities. The results of this study suggest that if a high level of team interaction is achieved in a flipped learning environment, the positive impact of learner participation in class on team learning activities is greater.
