거주기간이 주거 안전과 지역사회 통합을 위한 주요 전제이다. 이 연구는 주민이 현재 거주하는 근린에계속 거주하게 하는 지역사회 요인 중 하나인 근린의 물리적·사회적 환경에 초점을 맞췄다. 자신이 거주하는 근린환경의 무질서에 대한 인지가 일상생활 만족과 범죄 두려움에 영향을 미치고, 이는 결국 거주기간을 단축시키는 결과를 낳을 수 있음을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2020년 국민생활안전실태조사(가구원 13,836명) 자료를 이용하여 매개효과 위계적 선형회귀모형을 실시하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면 주민이 근린환경의 무질서에 대해 인지할수록 해당 근린에서의 거주기간은 단축되었다. 이러한 무질서 인지는 일상생활 만족에 부정적 영향을미쳤고, 범죄 두려움을 증가시켰다. 결국 거주기간을 단축시키는 결과를 낳았다. 이러한 결과는 근린 환경 쾌적성을 유지 관리하기 위해 지방정부와 지역 공동체와의 지속적인 논의 시스템을 개발할 필요성을 제기한다.
Abstract
Residence duration is considered as a key premise for residential safety and community integration. This study focuses on the neighborhood environment as a community-level measure to keep residential living. It examines that residents’ perception of neighborhood disorder can affect their satisfaction with daily life and fear of crime, ultimately resulting in a shortening of the residential duration. Mediation effect hierarchical linear regression models are conducted using data from the 2020 National Living Safety Survey(13,836 households). As a results of the analyses, the higher the perception of neighborhood disorder, the shorter the residence duration. This perception of disorder has a negative impact on daily life satisfaction and increased crime fear. Ultimately, this resulted in a shortening of the residence period. The results raise the need for the local government to develop a continuous discussion system with local communities to maintain environmental comfort at the community level.
