생태적 가치에 대한 동서양 철학의 인식과 평가

Abstract

Mainstream world-view of the West has supposed the subject-object dichotomy and traditional biology has described living things according to this dichotomy. By the way, it was necessary to comprehend the living things in the relation to the physical environments, and thus ecology have appeared. Ecology early focused on the economy of nature and after that time placed a great weight on the stability of ecosystem. Most recently ecology pays attention to the chaos states of nature under the influences of chaos ecology and evolutionary ecology. After all, ecology apparently did not established academical self-identity until now, and thus the ecologists of natural science is under constant controversies concerning the long-pending topic between mechanistic view of nature and organic view of nature. I think that ecologists of natural science fall into snare of ontological dualism because of usefulness of analytic cognition. I contend that ecology boosts a organic world-view. In the era of environmental crisis we will find new ecological values in virtue of ecological descriptions of nature. Ecological ethics of the Western philosophy did not seek after instrumental value but intrinsic value in nature. It is supposed that Eastern thoughts is sources of ecological world-view since those should display very well the organic relationship of between man and nature. Nowadays life thoughts of the East have appeared to solve the environmental crisis. Zhang Hwe Ik proposed the hypothesis that this earth plus the sun is regarded as living organism, that is global life. Kim Ji Ha showed the new life paradigm according to the Dong Hak, one of Korean traditional thoughts. I suggested as the very core of ecological value Onn value to project the organic relationship between culture and nature. And thus I hope that future society should enter into new level of humanitarian ecologism.
