논자는 주체와 타자관계의 담론을 대표하고 있는 레비나스와 라깡의 주체물음, 즉 타자로서의 주체문제에 천착하면서 그들이 같은 목소리로 일관성 있게 제시하고 있는 대타자(Autre)와 타자욕망의 관점에서 인간주체의 문제를 논의하고자 한다. 아울러 논자는 우선 그들 사상가들의 학문적 활동과 성과에 영향을 미칠 수 있었던 중요한 동시대의 사유와 문제의식에 관심을 가짐으로써 사상적 업적으로 남겨진 타자철학과 정신분석학이 서로 마주하며 바라볼 수 있는 주체의 이해에 관한 기초를 다져 나가고자 한다. 그들에게 있어 타자는 주체의 균열, 강박관념 등을 일으키는 원인이 되기도 하며 주체는 타자에의 또는 타자로부터의 욕망을 피할 수 없다. 그렇다고 그들 철학자들에게 있어 타자욕망의 발생적 근거가 같다는 것은 아니다. 레비나스에게 있어 모든 욕망은 초월적 실체 또는 근거는 신적인 부성으로부터 나오며 라깡에게 있어서도, 늘 논쟁의 여지는 있지만, 팔루스가 상징세계의 욕망운동을 은유적으로 지배한다. 그들에게 있어 부성과 팔루스는 각각 어떤 차원에 의해 설명되어야 하는 것인가? 결과적으로 그들은 각각의 학문적 영역, 즉 윤리학과 정신분석학에서 주체와 타자의 관계를 조명하고 새로운 주체의 해석에 관한 이론과 가치를 전파한다.
Abstract
The problem of the Other becomes a very important thesis for the contemporary argument of subject in ethics and psychoanalysis. Levinas started form a metaphysics of the alterity and supported an ethics for the Other in front of subject and in the human community. But Lacan started from a theory of psychoanalysis in the part of freudian which considers the other as a symbolic in the area of unconscious. In this point Levinas himself defined the desire of other as a divine law and Lacan debate it in the domain of the Other which is treated in the symbolic world. Levinas show the Father’s worth in a formula: The Desire of Other comes and time passes according to the category of the father in the name of god. With Lacan, we understand how the father appears as a metaphor of the name which necessary sustains the constitution of desire in the systeme of phallus.
