초록

오늘날 기술의 발달은 인간의 정체성에 대한 새로운 질문을 제기하고 있다. 철학의전통적 사고 방식에 따르면, 기술의 효용성과 잠재성은 반드시 올바른 목적에 따라 판단되어야 한다고 여겨진다. 이러한 사고는 기술의 가능성을 과거와 마찬가지로 이성적 질서에 의해 제한하려는 경향을 보인다. 한편, 기술의 발전은 점점 더 많은 신체의부분들이 대체될 수 있음을 보여주고 있으며, 따라서 현대인은 신체의 가능성이 축소되고 있다고 느끼고 있다. 니체는 이러한 인간과 기술의 관계를 전통적 형이상학적 관점에서 벗어나 새롭게조망하고자 했다. 그는 문제의 근저에 이성 중심적 사고가 자리 잡고 있다고 보고, 이러한 사고가 오히려 인간과 기술을 왜곡하고 있다고 지적했다. 니체는 인간과 기술의대립이라는 틀에서 벗어나, 이를 인간의 왜소화(Verkleinerung) 문제로 이해하고자 했다. 그러므로 그는 자본주의와 기술 발전이 인간에게 초래한 문제들을 기존의 방식이아닌 유형론과 계보학 중심의 접근법으로 풀어내고자 했다. 본 논문은 니체의 이러한문제의식과 해법이 현대 사회에서도 여전히 유의미하다는 점을 강조하며, 기술 발전으로 인한 인간성 소외 문제를 그의 관점에서 해결하고자 한다. 특히, 신체를 중심으로 한 유형과 계보학의 문제를 통해 현대적 해법을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다.

Abstract

The contemporary advancement of technology has prompted novel inquiries into the nature of human identity. Within the framework of traditional philosophical discourse, the utility and potential of technology are considered to be contingent upon their alignment with an appropriate purpose. This perspective inherently imposes constraints on technological possibilities through the lens of rational order, as has been the case historically. Concurrently, technological progress has increasingly enabled the substitution of human bodily elements with artificial components, thereby fostering a perception among modern individuals that the potentialities of the human body are progressively diminishing. Nietzsche critically re-evaluated the human-technology relationship by diverging from traditional metaphysical paradigms. He identified reason-centric thinking as the fundamental source of the problem and contended that such an epistemological stance serves to distort both the human condition and technological development. Moving beyond the dichotomous framework of humans versus technology, Nietzsche reconceptualized this issue as one of human diminishment (Verkleinerung). In response, he sought to address the existential and societal challenges engendered by capitalism and technological innovation through fundamentally novel, non-conventional methodologies. This study underscores the enduring relevance of Nietzsche’s critique and solutions within the context of contemporary society. By employing Nietzsche’s perspective, it endeavors to address the phenomenon of human alienation precipitated by technological advancement, with particular emphasis on the theoretical constructs of the body, typology, and genealogy. Through this approach, the paper aims to propose a framework for understanding and mitigating these challenges in a modern context.
