중국 전통질서 연구의 이데올로기적 성격 - ‘천하’ 유토피아와 국가이데올로기-

본 연구는 최근 중국에서 유행하고 있는 천하사상 및 조공체제 연 구가 ‘역사 불러오기’의 유토피아적 열망이며, 이는 실천적으로 국가 이데올로기의 도구라는 점을 논증했다. 본 논문은 보편주의를 내세우 는 천하사상이 지식사회학적 차원에서 중국의 패권적 위상을 정당화 시키는 ‘종합적, 세계관적 사상’임을 밝혔다. 아울러 본 연구는 바흐친 (Bakhtin)이 갈파한 “언어는 추상적인 문법적 범주가 아니라 이념이 가득 찬 세계관이다”라는 명제에 유의하여, 중국의 굴기와 함께 쏟아 져 나오는 각종 신전통주의의 흐름은 체제전환기적 중국의 내적 통합 과 외적 팽창을 동시에 추진에 유용한 국가이데올로기의 수단임을 규 명했다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 최근 유행하고 있는 동아시아 전 통질서연구가 순수한 학술적 영역을 넘어 중국의 신전통주의적 국가이 데올로기에 의해 왜곡되고 있다는 점을 환기시켰다.
Abstract
Our article tries to elucidate the explosion of the traditional Chinese world order such as the Heavenly Peace(Tianxia) conception and East Asian Tributary System is reflected the Chinese intellectuals utopian aspiration from the past world view. But our study concludes this kind of academic research serves as the Chinese state ideology looking for the new international hegemony. Our study focused on the intellectual sociology of the research boom on the traditional chinese world order will contribute to have the academic attention on the subtle relationship between the chinese neo-traditional world order research and the politico-ideological necessity of the new hegemonic state.
