초록
This is a comparative experimental research to delineate effectiveness of two type of dance/ movement therapy programs for promoting conception of body image. Samples of the study were 24 outpatients of H hospital, who had a mastectomy patients. The samples were divided by 2 groups, each group includes 12 respectively, which employed either the method of Espenak or the method of Bartenieff. The method of Espenak is a program to percept each segment of own's body parts, while the method of Bartenieff calls to percept spinal alinement. The sample's body image was measured by using an assessment tool(Jeon, 1996) that has .84 reliability score. Results of this study indicates as follows: Firstly, the method of Bartenieff was more effective to positively promote the samples' perception of the body concept then that of the method of Espenak[F(5, 66)=5.21, p<.01]. And then the program to call percept spinal alinement that was developed on the base of theory of Bartenieff is better method to create perception of the value of body then that of the method to percept each segment of body parts[F(5, 66)=9.66, p<.01]. Secondly, the perception of health status was not ,or nearly promoted by employing either the method of Bartenieff or the method of Espenak. The sample's health history, the breast cancer, could be a negative factor to promoting the perception of health status.
Abstract
This is a comparative experimental research to delineate effectiveness of two type of dance/ movement therapy programs for promoting conception of body image. Samples of the study were 24 outpatients of H hospital, who had a mastectomy patients.
