캠핑 참여자의 여가방해요인과 대처행동의 관계에 대한 행동적 레크리에이션 전문화의조절효과 검증

초록

본 연구의 목적은 캠핑참여자의 여가방해요인과 대처행동 간의 관계를 검증하고, 이 관계에 대한 행동적 전문화의 조절효과를 확인하는 것에 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여, 한국 캠핑 동호회원들에게 온라인 설문지를 배포하여 총 458명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고 결과를 분석하였다. 수집한 자료는 LISREL 8.70 버전을 사용하여 확인적 요인분석, 경로분석, 동질성 검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 대처행동의 모든 하위요인이 캠핑 참여자의 여가방해요인에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타나 본 연구의 가설을 지지하였다. 또한 동질성 검증 결과에 따르면, 레크리에이션 전문화 고집단의 경우 불만족스러운 캠핑 환경(지시적, 규제적 방해요인)에 대하여 관리자에게 직접적으로 불만을 표출하고자 하는 경향이 높았고, 이에 대한 반응으로 캠핑 장소를 변경하고자 하는 행동을 계획하는 성향이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반대로, 행동적 전문화 수준이 낮은 사람들은 캠핑장 환경 자체보다는 다른 캠핑객의 행동에 의한 불편함을 더 많이 느끼고 있었고, 이에 대하여 긍정적으로 받아들이고자 하는 인지적 대처행동에 관여하지 않으려 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 캠핑 참여자의 행동적 전문화 수준에 따라 여가 환경 안에서 인지하는 불편함에 대한 원인 및 이에 대한 대처행동의 종류가 다를 수 있음을 보여주는 결과였다. 본 연구는 기존의 대처행동 이론을 행동적 전문화의 관점에서 어떻게 확장시킬 수 있을지 실증적인 자료를 제공하는 한편, 더 나은 국내 캠핑장 조성을 위한 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the relationship between recreation hassles and coping behavior among Korean campers. Further, it was hypothesized that behavioral recreation specialization moderates the hypothesized relationship. Data were collected from 458 campers using online survey system. With SPSS 18.0 and LISREL 8.70, we conducted confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), path analysis, and invariance testing to examine our model. The result of these analyses offered support for our model in that all dimensions of coping were significantly affected by the dimensions of recreational hassles. In addition, we found some variations in the strengths of the path coefficients between the two specialization groups. The findings of our study demonstrated the nature of recreation hassle-coping relation and moderating effect of behavioral recreation specialization on the relation.
