도농 간 고교 교육격차 및 교육균형 발전방안에 대한 교사인식 분석

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze teachers' perception and the difference by their background on high school educational gap between urban and rural area and educational balance development way. For achieving the purpose, the study reviewed previous research about educational gap between urban and rural area. And data from 723 high school teachers in Gyeongsangbukdo were collected and analyzed. Main results showed that as a whole, the teachers perceived that there were a little big gaps between urban and rural area in school management of principal, school curriculum operation, specialized program of school, school facility, and administrative and financial support. But, they perceived that the gap between urban and rural area in teacher's capacity was not big. These perceptions were different by their background. Most teachers selected the difference in administrative and financial support as a cause of high school educational gap between urban and rural area. This was different by their position and school type. Most teachers selected the difference in administrative and financial support as an improvement way for mitigating high school educational gap between urban and rural area. This was different by their position, school type, and school location. Teachers had generally positive perception on high school educational balance development way between urban and rural area. In particular, they had high positive perception on expansion of administrative and financial support for rural area and concentrated investment for school with bad facility. These perceptions were different by their background. Some discussions and suggestions on the main results were provided.
