글로벌 공급 사슬 관리의 항만 거점화와 항만 배후단지 활용 -인천항을 중심으로-

초록

경제의 세계화로 글로벌 기업들이 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리(Global Supply Chain Management) 전략을 채택하여 자국의 경계를 넘어가서 전 세계에서 생산 유통 활동을 전개하고 있다. 항만은 국제교역의 거점이라는 장점으로 인하여, 글로벌 기업 경영 활동의 거점으로서, GSCM의 거점으로서 그 기능과 역할이 계속 변화하고 있다. 항만의 서비스는 이런 변화에 부합되게 이루어지고 있으며, 항만 배후단지는 제조ㆍ유통ㆍ가공 등 부가가치 활동을 전개하면서 항만과 더불어 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리의 거점으로 부상하고 있다. 그러나 아직 세계의 주요 배후단지는 지역적 요구에 부응하는 글로벌 공급 사슬의 부분적 기능을 충족시키는데 그치고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 글로벌 공급 사슬 형 배후단지의 개발을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리 측면에서 인천항과 배후단지의 활용 방안을 제시하였다.

Abstract

Economic globalization changes the management of a global corporation, which disperses its production, distribution and sales facilities around the world, utilizing the port and related area such as port hinterlands more and more. Port and hinterlands, together, become a center of global supply chain management, which is the major tool for a global corporation to serve the international customer and compete in the world market. This study explores the concept and strategy of global supply chain management and its relationship to port hinterlands. This study also designed a tentative plan for the use of Incheon port hinterlands with respect to global supply chain management.
