본 논문의 연구목적은 대상항만의 수출입구조를 유형화하여 항만배후단지에서 부가가치 창출을 유도할 수 있는 품목을 선정하는 방법론을 제시하는 것이다. 이 방법론에서는 대상항만의 수출입구조를 유형화하여 현재뿐만 아니라 미래에도 시장점유율과 시장성장률의 증가가 예상되는 주요 전략 품목을 선정한다. 그 다음 선정된 품목 중에서 주요 수출국에 대한 무역경쟁력을 분석하여 항만배후단지에서 부가가치 물류활동을 수행할 수 있는 미래경쟁우위 품목을 선정한다. 인천항을 사례로 분석한 결과, 인쇄회로 등 54개 품목이 지속적으로 물동량을 창출할 수 있는 전략품목으로 추출되었으며, 그 중 중고의류, 승용차 등 20개가 우리 주도로 부가가치 물류활동을 수행할 수 있는 미래경쟁우위 품목으로 선정되었다.
Abstract
Major global ports have comparative advantages in port facilities as well as value-added services in terms of supply chain in the port hinterland. In recent years, improving value-added services in the port hinterland is the key factor to survive as a major global port. This study suggests a methodology to select value-added products at port hinterland. This methodology identifies the current and future strategic products using information derived from the classification of export and import freight data in terms of market share and growth rate of each product. And then this study selects competitive products to support value-added logistics in the port hinterland using trade specification index and intra-trade pattern analysis.
