초록
The failure of single path supply can lead to difficulties in performing combat because the unit cannot meet the demand for necessary supplies. most of army division-level supply chains formulate their wartime supply plans using a single path, without considering delivery failures such as enemy attacks and road damages, rendering their resilience fragile. To overcome these, it is necessary to have channel redundancy or inventory redundancy. This study aims to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of “A model that receives supplement through dual paths” and “A model that receives increased supplement through a single path in consideration of delivery failures” to suggest which method is more appropriate as a wartime supply chain structure for the Korean Army. To this end, we present supply chain modules for single path supply, channel redundancy strategy, inventory redundancy strategy, and hybrid redundancy strategy. These modules are applied to the Lanchester combat model, and their effectiveness is evaluated through combat simulations. The research findings indicate that the inventory redundancy strategy outperforms the channel redundancy strategy in terms of win rate and incurs lower overall costs. Although the hybrid redundancy strategy achieves the highest win rate, it is less efficient and less aligned with the realities of our military. This study suggests that a single path supply chain with delivery failure consideration as a solution to enhance the Korean Army’s supply chain resilience, highlighting the importance of designing supply chains with such considerations.
