Abstract

Local public enterprises have become popular since local autonomy system started. However, they have been criticized because of their inefficient management. This study analyzes the financial ratios of local public enterprises, managed by local governments directly, to examine whether their criticism is right.The study shows that there are not critical problems in the management of local public enterprises, in terms of safety ratios and profitability ratios.
