This research inspected how sound the financial status of Local Enterprise is by applying indices that will indicate the financial soundness for subway corporations and development corporations. This research has used four different indicators–stability, profitability, income expenditure ratio, and efficiency–that should indicate the financial soundness of Local Enterprise. The empirical analysis was focused on the short-term and the long-term perspective. The result from the analysis showed that the financial soundness of subway corporations and development corporations had less severe level of financial soundness than the level of current concerns. Also, this research deducted the implications for the Local Enterprise’s own efforts to improve the labor productivity aimed at the higher financial soundness, government’s intervention to maximize effects on economies of scale, and issues for cost actualization
