초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학의 이러닝 환경에서 학습자의 정서지능, 이러닝 품질, 자기효능감, 학습만족도 및 학업성취도간의 구조적 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 사이버 강좌에 등록을 한 K대학의 학생을 대상으로 학기말에 학습관리시스템(LMS)을 통해 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 본 설문에 성실히 응답한 533명의 응답을 바탕으로 구조방정식 모델링 분석을 통하여 정서지능, 이러닝 품질, 자기효능감, 학습만족도 및 학업성취도 변인간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 상정한 가설을 검증한 결과 첫째, 온라인 학습환경에서 학습자의 정서지능과 학습자가 지각하는 이러닝의 품질은 학습자의 만족도에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 학습자의 정서지능은 학습자의 자기효능감에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 이러닝 환경에서 학습자의 정서지능과 이러닝의 품질은 학업성취도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았고 자기효능감과 학습만족도는 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 이러닝 학습환경에서 학습자의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 학습자의 정서지능을 높이기 위한 노력과 이러닝 품질을 향상시킬 수 있는 전략이 필요하고 학습자의 학업성취도를 높이기 위해서는 학습자의 자기효능감 및 학습만족도를 높이는 방안을 강구하는 것이 매우 중요함을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 대학의 이러닝 학습환경에서 학습자의 학업성과를 높일 수 있는 방법 및 전략에 대해 자세히 논의하였다.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this study is to determine the structural relationship among emotional intelligence, e-learning quality, academic self-efficacy, learner satisfaction, and academic achievement in the college level e-learning environment. Towards this end, a survey was conducted via LMS at semester’s end on students of K University enrolled a cyber class. Based on faithful responses to the survey submitted by 533 participants, the study examined the structural relationship among variants, using the structural equation modeling analysis. The results are as follows: First, it was found that emotional intelligence and the quality of e-learning had a meaningful effect on learner’s satisfaction. Second, emotional intelligence also meaningfully affected the learner’s self-efficacy. Third, emotional intelligence and the quality of e-learning did not meaningfully affect learning achievement; whereas, self-efficacy and learner satisfaction did affect learning achievement. The implications of the results of this study are as follows: First, in order to improve learner satisfaction in an e-learning environment, efforts must be directed towards enhancing the learner’s emotional intelligence and upgrading the quality of the e-learning provided. Second, in order to improve the learning achievement of the students, measures should be taken to enhance the self-efficacy and satisfaction of the students involved. Based on these findings, the study suggests methods and strategies geared towards maximizing the learning achievement of the students in an e-learning environment.
