원격평생교육에서 수업의 질적 요소, 학습만족도 및 학업성취도의 구조적 관계 분석

본 연구의 목적은 원격평생교육원에서 제공하는 수업의 질적 요소를 시스템, 서비스·운영, 인터페이스 및 내용의 질로 나누고, 수업의 질적 요소가 학생들의 학습만족도 및 학업성취도에 미치는 구조적 관계를 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 통해 원격평생교육기관에서 학습자들에게 제공하는 수업의 질적 제고방안을 모색하고 개선 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 한 학기동안 원격평생교육원 수업을 수강한 학습자 315명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 구조방정식에 입각하여 수집된 데이터를 분석한 결과, 시스템 및 내용의 질이 학습만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 서비스·운영 및 인터페이스의 질은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 서비스·운영 및 내용의 질로 밝혀졌으며, 시스템 및 인터페이스 질은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 학습만족도는 학업성취도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 서비스·운영 및 인터페이스 질은 학습만족도를 매개로 학업성취도에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 본 연구결과는 향후 원격평생교육원이 보다 효과적이고 만족스러운 교육성과를 창출하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study aimed at determining the structural relationships among instructional quality factors of system, service·operational, interface, and content qualities, learning satisfaction, and academic achievement in distance lifelong learning centers authorized by the Korean government. A survey of 315 students who had completed a semester-long distance courses was conducted. Based on the results of structural equation modeling, it was found that the system and content qualities affected the learning satisfaction and the service·operational and interface qualities did not. Regarding the academic achievement, the effects of the service·operational and content qualities were significant but those of the system and interface were not. The learning satisfaction was not found to influence the academic achievements. Finally, the service·operational and interface qualities were found to have an effect on the academic achievement mediated by the learning satisfaction. The result of this study will contribute to the more effective and satisfactory educational outcome in future.
