이 연구의 목적은 코로나 일상 시대에 대학 교수자가 면대면 수업을 비대면으로 전환하고자 할 때, 실제적이고 체계적으로 수업을 설계, 운영하는데 활용할 수 있는 비대면 온라인 수업설계모형을 개발, 제시하는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 원격교육, 이러닝, 온라인 수업, 수업설계모형과 전략 등 관련 문헌들을 고찰하였고 대학의 일반 교수자 5인을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행하였다. 이를 토대로 대학 교수자가 온라인으로 수업을 설계하여 운영할 때 활용할 수 있는 교수학습 활동이나 전략들을 단계적으로 제시한 수업설계 모형 초안을 도출하였다. 개발된 모형의 초안은 2차례에 걸쳐 5인의 전문가들로부터 내적 타당도를 검증받았으며, 코로나 대응 비대면 온라인 수업을 경험한 대학 교수 5인으로부터 사용성 평가를 통해 모형의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다. 연구결과, 비대면 온라인 수업설계를 위한 모형은 ‘온라인 수업 분석 및 준비’, ‘온라인 수업 설계’, ‘온라인 수업 자료 개발’, ‘온라인 수업 운영’, ‘온라인 수업 평가 및 성찰’의 다섯 단계로 구성되었으며, ‘온라인 수업 평가 및 성찰’ 단계 이후 지속적으로 반복 및 순환 가능한 형태로 구조화되었다. 아울러 온라인 수업설계모형은 수업설계 각 단계에서 교수자가 수행해야 하는 주요 활동 중심의 ‘절차모형’과, 주요 활동별로 수행해야 할 세부 활동 및 전략들이 제시된 ‘상세모형’으로 구분하여 개발되었다. 끝으로, 대학 현장에서의 실천적 적용을 통한 모형의 활용 가능성 탐색, 모형의 효과적 활용을 위한 세부적인 가이드라인 개발, 실험이나 실습 등 실기 활동이 기반이 되는 실습수업을 고려한 추가적 모형 개발의 필요성 등이 논의되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a practical and systematic online instructional design model that university professors can use in the transition from their face-to-face instruction to non face-to-face in the era with corona. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, related literatures such as distance education, e-learning, online education, instructional design models and strategies were reviewed, and in-depth interviews were conducted with five professors. Based on these, a draft of an online instructional design model that presented step-by-step teaching and learning activities and strategies was developed. The draft of the developed model was validated twice by 5 experts, and the validated model was evaluated for usefulness by 5 university professors who experienced non face-to-face online lectures to encounter the corona era in 2020. As a result of the research, the non face-to-face online instructional design model consisted of five steps(‘online instructional analysis and preparation’, ‘online instructional design’, ‘online instructional material and contents development’, ‘online implementation’, and ‘online instructional evaluation and reflection’) was developed. This model was characterized by repetitive and cyclical design process. In addition, it was developed by dividing into a ‘procedure model’ including the main activities that the professors should perform at each stage of instructional design process, and a ‘detailed model’ including various activities or strategies for the main activities. Finally, it was discussed about exploring the applicability of the model through practical application in the higher education field, the development of detailed guidelines for effective use of the model, and the necessity of additional models considering the characteristics of experimental class or practical class in university.
