경제성장과 소득 불균형 간의 관계에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 1990~2012년까지의 경제성장은 지역 내 총생산을, 소득 불균형은 지니계수, 상대적 빈곤율, 소득 5분위 배율을 이용하였고 공간적 범위를 전국, 수도권, 6대광역시로 세분화하여 지역 경제성장과 소득 불균형의 동학적 상관관계를 시계열 분석방법론을 이용하여 실증분석하였다. 공적분 검정결과, 모든 모형에서 변수들 간에는 장기적인 균형관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 충격반응 분석결과, 경제성장과 소득 불균형은 지역별로 정도의 차이는 있었으나 모든 모형에서 각자의 충격에 대해 서로 정(+)의 반응을 나타냈다. 소득 불균형 충격에 소득 불균형 자신은 가장 크고 지속적인 정(+)의 반응을 나타냈고 경제성장 충격에 경제성장 자신은 정(+)의 반응을 보이고 있다. 지니계수보다 상대적 빈곤율과 소득 5분위 배율이 반응의 크기가 크고 지속적으로 나타나 계층 간 소득 불균형이 심화되고 있다는 것을 알 수가 있었다. 경제성장에 따른 소득 재분배가 원활히 이루어지지 않고 있는바 이에 정부는 소득 재분배를 할 수 있는 다양한 정책 등을 수립 집행해야 할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study used gross regional domestic product(GRDP) for economic growth from 1990 to 2012 and Gini coefficient, relative poverty rate, and income quintile share ratio for the income imbalance, and conducted an actual analysis on the explanatory correlation between regional economic growth and income imbalance using a time-series analysis method by segmenting the spatial extent into nationwide, metropolitan area, and 6 metropolitan cities. As a result of the cointegration test, it is identified that there is a long-term balance relation between variables in every model. As a result of the impulse response analysis, the income inequality shows a degree of difference by region but shows positive response to their own impact in every model. Income imbalance itself shows greatest and continuous positive response to the income imbalance shock, and economic growth itself shows positive response to the economic growth shock. It is identified that the income imbalance between classes is intensifying as the response scale of relative poverty rate and income quintile share ratio is larger than the Gini coefficient and appeared continuously. As income redistribution according the economic growth is not flowing smoothly, it is necessary for the government to establish and enforce various policies to redistribute the income.
