본 연구는 국내 상호문화교육 연구의 주요 중점을 구조적 토픽 모델링(STM)을 활용하여 체계적으로 분석하는것을 목적으로 한다. 상호문화교육은 다문화주의적 접근의 한계를 극복하고 다양한 문화 간의 상호작용을 통해 상생과융합을 추구하는 교육적 접근이다. 이를 위해 국내 학술 논문 데이터베이스에서 관련 논문을 수집하여 STM을 활용한주요 연구 주제를 도출하였고, 연구의 방향성을 모색하였다. 분석 결과, 한국어 교육과 방법론, 문화예술 교육, 교사역량 개발 등 다양한 교육적 주제들이 상호문화교육의 주요 연구영역으로 확인되었다. 특히, 상호문화교육의 연구는언어교육을 중심으로 강하게 자리 잡고 있으나, 문화예술 및 철학적 접근을 통해 점차 다각적으로 발전하고 있음을보여준다. 본 연구는 상호문화교육의 방향성을 설정하고, 다양한 교육적 접근을 결합하여 상호문화적 이해를 증진시킬수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 기여하고자 한다.
Abstract
This study aims to systematically analyze the key issues of intercultural education research in South Korea using Structural Topic Modeling (STM). Intercultural education is an educational approach that seeks to overcome the limitations of multiculturalism by promoting interaction and integration among diverse cultures. To achieve this, relevant academic papers were collected from domestic databases, and the main research topics were derived using STM to explore the direction of future studies. The analysis revealed that various educational topics, such as Korean language education, cultural and artistic education, and teacher competency development, are major research areas in intercultural education. Notably, research on intercultural education has been strongly centered on language education but is gradually evolving through cultural, artistic, and philosophical approaches. This study contributes to setting the direction of intercultural education and exploring ways to promote intercultural understanding by integrating various educational approaches.
