사례와 토론 중심의 윤리 교육 프로그램 참여 경험에 대한 합의적 질적연구 : 중급 상담자를 대상으로

본 연구는 현장 경험이 있는 중급 상담자들이 사례와 토론 중심의 윤리 교육 프로그램에 참여한 후 어떠한 경험과변화를 겪는지 합의적 질적 연구(CQR) 방법을 통해 심층적으로 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 사례와 토론 중심의윤리 교육 프로그램에 참여한 중급 상담자 중 자발적으로 연구 참여에 동의한 12명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하고, 그 자료를 CQR 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과, ‘기존 윤리 교육 경험’, ‘참여 동기’, ‘사례 중심 교육에 대한기대’, ‘사례와 토론을 통한 교육 경험’, ‘윤리적 딜레마에서의 4단계 의사결정 체크리스트 활용 경험’, ‘교육을 통해알게 된 점’, ‘교육 참여 이후의 변화’, ‘프로그램에 대한 제언’ 등 8개 영역과 30개 범주가 도출되었다. 참여자들은사례와 토론 중심 교육이 실제 윤리적 딜레마 대처 능력, 비판적 사고력, 자기효능감 향상에 실질적으로 도움이되었음을 보고하였다. 본 연구는 자격 취득 이후 중급 상담자를 위한 실천적 윤리 교육의 필요성과 사례와 토론중심 교육 프로그램의 효과를 경험적으로 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구방향을 논의하였다
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the experiences and perceived changes of intermediate-level counselors with field experience after participating in an ethics education program based on case studies and discussions. Using the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 counselors who willingly participated in the study following program completion. The interview data underwent analysis following CQR procedures, leading to the identification of eight domains and 30 categories: (1) prior experiences with ethics education, (2) motivation for participation, (3) expectations for the case-based program, (4) learning experiences through case discussions, (5) utilization of the four-step ethical decision-making checklist in ethical dilemmas, (6) insights acquired from the program, (7) changes post-participation, and (8) suggestions for enhancement. Participants reported that the case- and discussion-based approach was practically helpful in improving their capacity to address ethical dilemmas, enhance critical thinking skills, and boost their ethical self-efficacy. These findings underscore the necessity for ethics education tailored to the practical needs of intermediate-level counselors post-licensure and provide empirical support for the efficacy of case- and discussion-based ethics training. The study also addresses limitations and outlines directions for future research.
