정보사회에서 중요한 관심의 대상이 되는 귀중한 정보를 어떻게 하면 보다 인간다운 방식으로 잘 다룰 수 있을 것인가를 고민하는 것이 정보윤리이다. 경우에 따라 엄청난 금전적 가치를 갖기도 하고 한 사람의 인생을 좌우하기도 할만큼 대단한 가치를 가진 정보를 전문적으로 다루는 직업인을 정보전문가라고 규정할 때, 이들에게는 다른 직업군과 차별화된 정보윤리에 관한 특별한 교육이 필요하게 된다. 정보전문가들은 그들의 직업적 전문성과 그에 따르는 권위를 충분히 인정받지 못하면서 과도하게 사회적 책임만을 강요받고 있는 처지에 있다. 이들에게 사회가 요구할 수 있는 정보윤리교육의 성격은 프로페셔널에게 필요한 고상한 의무를 강조하는 것이 아니라 스페셜리스트에게 필요한 실천적인 규범 지식과 판단력이어야 한다. 따라서 이들을 대상으로 한 정보윤리교육의 내용은, 직전교육과 직중교육 모두에서 전문직 윤리강령과 기초적인 윤리이론과 학설에 대한 지식, 윤리적 문제 상황에서 필요한 도덕적 판단력, 정서적 공감과 실천기능의 함양이 고루 강조되어야 한다. 지식과 사고력, 정서와 의지가 고루 강조되는 이러한 교육과정이 대학의 일반교양과목으로 운영되는 것에 더하여 공학인증제 실시와 더불어 관련 단과대학들의 전공필수과목으로 운영되는 것이 가장 바람직할 것이다.
Abstract
InformatThere are so many kinds of Information Specialists or Information Professionals in these days. In the age of Information Society, we should impose some kinds of special lectures like 'Information Ethics Course for IT-specialist' or so. Almost of highly educated skillful jobs that are IT-related or Information Treatment related - writer, composer, programmer, ISP, CP, PD, personal management staff, or so - are more specialist rather than professionals. The professional authorities of them are weaker than those of MD's or Judges'. But due to the importance of their special objects - i.e., the Information -, they have to carry some additional burdens. And the society impose special responsibilities on them. Information Ethics for them should be focused on their special responsibilities which is come from the mighty force of information itself. Main contents of the Information Ethics for IT-specialists course can be made up like these four components; (1) professional Code of Ethics, (2) basic ethical theories, (3) training of moral judgements, (4) emotional sense of morality. ion Ethics Education for IT specialists
