Abstract
This study aimed to examine the effects of job involvement on job satisfaction among local government officials responsible for disaster impact assessment and the moderating role of expertise in this relationship through empirical analysis. To achieve this, a survey was conducted among these officials, and a stepwise regression analysis was performed to examine the moderating effect. The key findings are as follows. Consistent with previous research, job involvement and expertise were found to have a positive impact on job satisfaction. Furthermore, the higher the level of expertise, the stronger the effect of job involvement on job satisfaction. This study is significant in that it empirically analyzes the moderating role of expertise in the relationship between job involvement and job satisfaction among these officials. Based on these findings, it will contribute to the establishment of an organizational support system to enhance job involvement and to the development of systematic education, training, and career development programs to strengthen expertise.
