한국 국제간 언어 커뮤니케이션 연구의 현황 - 한국 통번역 연구의 경향성 조사(1996~2006) -

통번역학과 지역학은 세계의 지역문화와 학제간 연구를 지향한다는 점에서 동일한 연구의 토대를 지녔다고 본다. 통번역학은 세계지역연구의 연어소통 분야에 집중한다. 본 연구는 한국 통번역의 연구경향을 살핌으로써 한국 지역학 연구에 보탬이 되고자 한다. 본 연구는 한국의 통번역학 분야를 대표하는 두 학술지, 「통번역연구」와 「국제회의와 통번역」의 연구경향을 4가지 항목에 맞추어 살폈다. 그 결과, 1) 인식론적으로 연역적인 경향을 지니고 있으며, 2) 구조적인 연구가 많아지고 있는 추세이며, 3) 현장의 연구뿐만 아니라 이론적 탐구가 특히 2004년부터 증가하고 있으며, 4) 인문학과의 학제간 관계를 깊이 지니고 있음을 밝혔다.
Abstract
This survey depends on the proposition that the Translation & Interpretation Studies have two same scientific directions with the Area Studies: the regional culture and the interdisciplinary works. Through two representative Korean journals, Translation & Interpretation Studies and Conference Interpretation & Translation, I revealed 4 characteristics of Korean trend of translation and interpretation research from 1996 to 2006. 1. Epistemologically, the methodologies based on the deduction increase from 2002 to today. 2. In the perspective on the studies, the holistic and structural approaches increase also. 3. The field studies are still constant but the theoretical approaches increase strongly from 2004. 4. The interdisciplinary studies increase constantly in the sectors of Literature and Humanities. If the translation & interpretation researches is based on the nature of language and the international communication, we can recognize that it is naturally a convergent science which comprise the studies of culture, communication and world’s regional relationship. The research trend of Korean translation and interpretation shows us this convergence from 2002.
