해양수산벤처기업의 국내 벤처산업에서의 위상 분석과 육성을 위한 기본방향에 관한 연구-실태조사분석과 SWOT분석을 중심으로

Abstract

Since the foreign exchange crisis in 1997, Korean Government has enhanced the support for domestic venture business through various political and technical ways, so as to surmount the economic depression and the structural crisis in domestic industry. Due to the government's effort to promote the domestic venture business, there has been a startling development in domestic industry.However, maritime venture business in Korea is at the very early stage and still has not established the foundation for its development in spite of the importance and the potential possibility of maritime business development. Futhermore, practical scale and actual number of maritime venture business has not been properly investigated yet.The first object of this paper is to estimate the practical scale and the economic position of maritime venture business compared with domestic venture business through a survey research. The second object is to establish the political development directions for maritime venture business.To investigate the scale and practical situation of maritime venture business, the survey research was performed from August to November 2002 on 196 venture companies which were classified as a maritime business. An analysis of government policy for the domestic industry and maritime venture business' promotion was undertaken.In conclusion, this study proposed alternative policies for the promotion of maritime venture business in Korea.
