초록
The purpose of this study is to provide basic literature data by analyzing the difference in post-traumatic stress according to the characteristics of exercise participation of police officers. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a survey was conducted on 154 police Officers, and conclusions were drawn through results and discussions. First, there was a difference in post-traumatic stress according to the exercise participation time of police Officers. It was found that the group who exercised less than 1 hour had a lower level of post-traumatic stress than the group who participated in exercise for more than 3 hours. Forceful exercise after work can rather act as a factor that can further increase stress. It is believed that it will be helpful to relieve mental stress along with physical health through an appropriate exercise time of less than 1 hour. Second, there was no significant difference in exercise participation, exercise type, and exercise item. The data collection of this study was collected from December 1, 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic situation was severe, to February 20, 2021, and it is believed that external activities were limited due to social and environmental restrictions, which lacked relief from post-traumatic stress and mental stress. On the other hand, in this study, due to social and environmental restrictions, there were limitations in the study depending on whether police officers participated in exercise, types of exercise and exercise intensity. In this regard, it is believed that follow-up research is needed to find an objective solution to post-traumatic stress disorder of police officers through periodic and appropriate intensity direct exercise participation experiments in a controlled experimental environment.
