초록
In this study, the effect of golf stress on the resilience of amateur golfers was examined, followed by an analysis of the moderating effect of emotion regulation. For this purpose, data were collected from 267 members of indoor and outdoor golf practice ranges located in Seoul and Incheon, and the following conclusions were drawn. First, among the sub-factors of golf stress, performance dissatisfaction was found to have a negative effect on the positivity and self-control dimensions of resilience. In addition, the concern about others' evaluation factor negatively affected positivity and sociability. These results indicate that, at the structural level, golf stress exerts a significant negative influence on overall resilience, functioning as a hindering factor in the psychological recovery of amateur golfers. Second, the moderating effect of emotion regulation was significant only for expressive suppression, among its sub-factors. Specifically, expressive suppression moderated the relationships between performance dissatisfaction and concern about others and the resilience sub-factors of positivity, self-control, and sociability. Therefore, the level of expressive suppression in amateur golfers served as an important psychological moderating mechanism in the relationship between golf stress and resilience.
