본 연구의 목적은 다문화가정 자녀의 일상생활경험을 탐색하고 이를 통해 다문화가정 자녀를위한 정책 변화를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 다문화가정 자녀 8명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고 이들의 사례를 통해 의미를 도출하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 다문화가정 자녀들은 다문화가정이라는 사회적인 프레임에서 벗어나려고 했다. 그들은 일반 학생과 구별하고 경계 짓는 것에 부정적이었다. 둘째, 다문화가정 자녀들은 자신의 가정생활을 만족스러워했다. 그들은 부모와의 정서및 유대관계 등이 조화를 이루고 있었다. 셋째, 다문화가정 자녀들은 다문화가정 자녀들을 위한다문화교육 지원에 대해 부정적이었다. 그들은 특별한 교육지원을 원하지 않았으며 지원한다면 일반 학생과 구분 없이 지원받으려 했다. 넷째, 그들은 어머니 언어에 대한 이중언어교육에매우 낮은 관심을 보였다. 그들은 다문화가정 자녀들이 이중언어를 사용해야 한다는 인식을 바꾸고자 하였다. 다섯째, 이들은 다문화가정에 대한 한국인의 인식이 변화되길 바라고 있다. 학교, 사회, 미디어 등 다문화가정에 대한 이미지 변화가 필요함을 강조하였다. 이런 결과를 바탕으로 다문화가정 자녀들을 위한 정책 변화를 제언하였다. 향후 본 연구가 다문화가정 자녀를 위한 정책을 마련하는데 기초가 되길 바란다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the daily life experiences of children from multicultural families and to suggest policy changes for children from multicultural families through this. To this end, data was collected from eight children from multicultural families, and meaning was derived through their cases. As a result, first, children from multicultural families tried to escape from the social frame of multicultural families. They were negative about distinguishing and bounding them from general students. Second, children from multicultural families were satisfied with their family life. They had a harmonious emotional and bond with their parents. Third, children from multicultural families were negative about support for multicultural education for children from multicultural families. They didn't want special educational support, and if they applied, they wanted to receive support regardless of general students. Fourth, they showed very low interest in bilingual education for the mother's language. They tried to change the perception that children from multicultural families should speak bilingual. Fifth, they hope to change Koreans' perceptions of multicultural families. It emphasized the need to change the image of multicultural families such as schools, society, and media. Based on these results, policy changes for children from multicultural families were suggested. I hope that this study will be the basis for preparing policies for children from multicultural families in the future.
