17세기 초 시선집 『詩學指南』 연구

Abstract

This paper is a general review of the characteristics of Sihak Jinam, the anthology of Chinese poetry published in the early 17th century. Sihak Jinam has not attracted the attention of academic circles as it is an anthology by unknown editors, but it is a remarkable material compared to the anthologies compiled and published until the 17th century. Firstly, it is mainly composed of long and old style poetry written in the form of Ga-haeng poem, secondly, the literary works included span from the Tang Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, and thirdly, the publishing place is Uiseong, Gyeongsang-do. These show that it actively reflects the latest literary trend of the time called revivalism. Therefore, in this paper, we first looked at the bibliographic characteristics of Sihak Jinam, then synthesized various documents to identify the compiler, and developed a discussion focusing on the composition, included works, and cited documents to reach the following conclusions. First, it was confirmed that Sihak Jinam had been revised at least twice through the presence or absence of appendum appended to Volume 3. The fact that Sihak Jinam, published in 1630, is also included in Gosachwalyo in 1674 proves that the bookplates were renovated over the years and were continuously published. Next, the compiler, who remained unknown, was identified. It was revealed that the compiler was Heo Su, a writer from the northwest region, and he published Sihak Jinam while he was a governor of Uiseong in 1630. Heo Su was associated with the Onyang Jeong family including Jeong Doo-gyeong, and the Onyang Jeong family was a group that advocated revivalist literature at the time. It was confirmed that the association with them had an influence on the compilation and publication of Sihak Jinam. Lastly, we looked at the compilation intention of Sihak Jinam and the included works and cited literature. In short, it mainly contained long and old style poetry from the Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties, and it is presumed that most of them used the HullyeonDogam-Ja as their source material. The above discussion is significant in that it allows us to concretely confirm the trends in poetry and aspects of revivalist literature in the early 17th century.
