초록
Due to China's rise as a regional power, competition between the United States and China in the Indo-Pacific region is intensifying. The unavoidable conflict between the US and China requires the European Union, South Korea, and Taiwan to develop their own coping strategies, which will inevitably impact their bilateral relationships with the EU. In this context, this paper aims to examine whether the major players in the Indo-Pacific region will continue to maintain normative relations as they have done in the past. To do this, this paper seeks to analyze the reasons and procedures for successful value diplomacy based on universal norms and values. The paper argues that the normative characteristics of the European Union seeking to overcome nationalism, Korea's pursuit of a pivotal state, and Taiwan's diplomatic policy based on functional sovereignty are the main driving forces.
