Abstract
This paper explores analytical methods in digital humanities, particularly as a new research methodology in the literary studies. Will we be able to discover new literary canons and re-write a literary history by using digital methods? Focusing on the “pamphlets” issued by the Stanford Literary Lab, this study examines various ways of reading literature, such as social network analysis, geographical temporal analysis, or textual analysis. These interdisciplinary research allows us to revisit traditional literary studies from fresh perspectives and new interpretations. Recently, growing number of scholars and research centers in Korea pay attention to the positive aspects of the digital humanities. By appraising the current scholarships and academic environments, this paper also suggest the prospectus of the digital humanities in the context of Korean academia.
