Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate technical efficiency and meta-technical efficiency with technical gap for development of strategic industries in Busan. Finance & futures, trip & convention transportation, marine product & process service, IT manufacturing, and silver manufacturing have comparative advantage in terms of meta technical efficiency, technical gap. So, finance & futures, trip & convention transportation, film & image, IT manufacturing, and marine product & process service might be expected strategic industries in Busan. Medicine, business service, new renewable energy, and design industry need to be included as strategic industries consistent with our future. Busan should construct international industrial cluster, and induce innovation to create high value added and accept advanced technology quickly in order to develop these as core industries.
