Yinxuewushu(《音學五書》) has drawn out the entering tones of archaic Chinese phonology, by combination and recombination of the thirty-four entering tones of Guangyun(《廣韻》) on the base of the rhymes of Shijing(《詩經》). The author Guyanwu(顧炎武) demonstrated the relation between Yinshengyun(陰聲韻) and Rushengyun(入聲韻) of archaic Chinese phonology, in contrast with the relation of Yangshengyun(陽聲韻) and Rushengyun(入聲韻) of Guangyun(《廣韻》). In addition, he gave scholars an inspiration of departmentaliztion of the entering tones of archaic Chinese phonology by induction of three entering tones of archaic Chinese phonology by recombination of the rhyming tones wu(屋), wo(沃), zhu(燭), jue(覺), yao(藥), duo(鐸), mai(麥), xi(昔), xi(錫), de(德) of Guangyun(《廣韻》). His views on the entering tone(入聲) and the falling tone(去聲) in Yinlun(《音論》) and Shibenyin(《詩本音》) of Yinxuewushu(《音學五書》), and the relationship of the entering tone(入聲) and the falling tone(去聲) that was shown on Tangyunzheng(《唐韻正》), also gave scholars the foundation of studying the entering tones of archaic Chinese phonology. The polyphones are good evidences of proving the relationship of the entering tone(入聲) and the falling tone(去聲) of archaic Chinese phonology, either, it is also applied to those of Korean-Chinese.
Abstract
