Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the issues related to Oscar Pistorius' eligibility of participation in an able-bodied sporting event. Multiple text analysis (Keats, 2009) was utilized for analyzing written, visual, and spoken texts about Oscar Pistorius' eligibility issues. Three themes were emerged: (a) fairness of the competition, (b) use of the technology, and (c) aftermath of the decision. The themes were represented through 'creative analytic processes ethnography' (Richardson & St.Pierre, 2005). Finally, future research agendas of the field of adapted physical activity were discussed based on the emerged themes.
