OECD 국가의 장애인올림픽대회 참가 성공요인에 관한 비교연구

본 연구는 장애인올림픽대회의 성공요인에 대한 국가별 유형화와 유형화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 하였다. 분석대상은 OECD 30개 국가 중 룩셈부르크를 제외한 29개국으로 하였으며, 군집분석을 통해 유형화된 국가들의 결정요인을 질적비교분석(qualitative comparative analysis: QCA)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 원인변수로는 1인당 국민소득(GDP), 인구(POP), 빈곤율(POV), 공공사회복지지출(SOCX), 장애급여수혜율(DISBE), 하계올림픽 유치경험(OLYM)을 선정하였다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 얻은 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 분석대상 국가들을 하계 장애인올림픽대회 메달 수를 기준으로 군집화하여 국가별로 유형한 결과 세 가지의 유형이 발견되었다. 둘째, 유형 1에 속하는 국가들의 경우 GDP, 인구, 하계올림픽 유치경험이 정의 상관관계를 지니고 있음을 발견하였다. 유형 2에 속하는 국가들의 경우 공공사회복지지출, 장애급여수혜율이 높거나 하계올림픽 유치경험이 있는 특성을 지니고 있고, 유형 3에 속하는 경우 특정한 원인변수가 발견되지 않았다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to explore the keys to success of the Summer Paralympics in OECD member countries. To attain this goal, 29 countries among OECD 30 members were selected. The data were analyzed by Qualitative Comparative Analysis(QCA) with cluster analysis. GDP, population(POP), poverty(POV), social expenditure(SOCX), disability benefit rate(DISBE), hosting experience of Summer Olympics(OLYM) were used as casual variables for Qualitative Comparative Analysis. The finding of this study were as follows. First, three patterns were examined and Korea was classified into the pattern which has 50 to 100 medals. Second, it has been showed that countries belonged in pattern 1 have positive relationship among GDP, population, hosting experience of Summer Olympic and countries belonged in pattern 2 show high social expenditure, disability benefit rate and have a hosting experience of Summer Olympic. Whereas, there have been showed no casual variables among countries belonged in pattern 3.
