Abstract

This article is written to explore Wanghui’s narrative of China’s reform and opening. China becomes one of the most important factors, which has major influences on the future of the global world. Among those influences, especially the crisis of American finance, the so-called discourses of Chinese model becomes one of the hottest issue in contemporary China. This article focuses on Wanghui, one of the most radical intellectuals of China, and explore what his narrative of China’s reform and opening is changing after the crisis of American finance in 2008. Through this research, I suggest that Wanghui’s narrative itself has the important crisis on understanding China’s reform and opening,caused by regarding Chinese socialism as the modernity of the anti-capitalism, his most representative theory.
