Abstract
The Theoretical Investigationfor the Cultural Exchange in East AsiaLee, Dong-YeunWhile the cultural exchange and cultural studies among east asia nations brings recently much interests, it is hard to define its concept accurately and draw on the practical research issues. It is because that in practical terrain many projects of articulation of cultural exchange to the peculiar east asia regions confront each other. The term 'east asia' has different meanings by way of the context using it. The notions of east asia as a method, a function, and a intellectual exploration have themselves other perspectives, but they concede the thought that the term east asia is the cultural formations that must be newly defined.
