‘도시걷기’의 인문학적 접근과 도시공간의 경쟁력 강화 방안

본 연구의 목적은 워커블 어버니즘(Walkable Urbanism)으로서의 ‘도시걷기(City Walk)’의 인문학적 접근과 이를 통한 도시경쟁력 제고 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 인문학적 접근이 현실적인 도시 공간의 문제를 직접적으로 해결해 줄 수는 없다. 그러나 우리가 어떻게 할 것인가, 왜 그렇게 해야 하는가에 대한 물음에 답하기 위해서는 인문학적 성찰이 요구된다. 도시 공간(또는 장소)의 이용주체인 개개인이 도시 공간(또는 장소)에 대한 가치판단과 고민을 가능하게 하는 사유의 기반을 제공한다는 점에서 인문학적 접근은 중요하다. 하지만 기존의 건축·도시 공간 분야에서 시도된 인문학적 관련 연구들의 주제는 위의 성찰적 질문에 대해 구체적인 결론을 도출하는 데 일정한 한계가 있음을 지적할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 조성된 탐방로와 부산시 산복도로, 감천동 문화마을 사례를 중심으로 도시 공간의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 인문학적 접근의 필요성에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 도시경쟁력 제고 방안으로 인문학적 접근 방법으로서 ‘워커블 어버니즘’을 통해 도시계획 및 설계차원에서 ‘도시걷기’로서의 가로 조성과 도보관광 코스 개발을 통한 도시경쟁력 제고 방안 관련 시사점을 제안하고자 하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the Humanistic Approach for Competitiveness of Urban Spatial by ‘City Walk’ as a Walkable Urbanism. It may not directly solve the urban spatial problems of real life with humanism or humanistic approach. However we need humanism to answer the questions; how we do and why we do so. Importance of humanism is emphasized because it provides basis of thinking that individuals, the users of the urban spaces(or place) enable to decide value and to concern about the urban space(or place). However, most themes of related researches and developed project about existing humanism in the architecture and the urban space field have not reached reflectional questions yet. So, this study mentions necessity of much more Humanistic approach for Urban Competitiveness in national scenic trail and from some cases studies(SANBOKDORO and GAMCHEONGDONG MUNWHAMAEUL). Also, this study suggested creations of walkable streets and walking tourism courses through the urban design for Urban Competitiveness by 'City Walk' as a Walkable Urbanism.
