사회정의와 한국경제: 센의 정의관과 그 시사점을 중심으로

이 글은 센의 정의관에 기대어 한국사회의 복지 논쟁과 경제민주화 논쟁을 재해석하기 위한 시도다. 두 논쟁은 한국경제의 불평등이나 불공정을 비판하는 것에그치지 않고, 한국사회의 부정의에 대한 문제제기와 함께 그 현실적 대안을 요구한다. 이러한 의미에서 센의 현실적인 정의관은 두 논쟁에 대해 상당히 유용한시사점을 제공할 수 있다. 그렇지만 센의 현실론이 현실성을 확보하기 위해서라도 롤즈의 이상론으로 보완될 필요가 있듯이, 한국의 경우에도, 복지논쟁과 경제민주화 논쟁이 대부분 현실적인 대안을 요구하지만, 이 요구조건을 충족하기 위해서라도 평등분배나 공정한 시장질서에 대한 기준이 확립될 필요가 있다. 사회정의에 관한 한 현실론은 현실성을 확보하기 위해서라도 이상론을 통해 보완될필요가 있으며, 이것이 바로 센이 정의론이 한국경제의 부정의 문제에 제공하는가장 큰 교훈이다.
Abstract
This Essay trys to reinterpret Welfare and Economic Democracy debates onKorean economy. Two debates do not only criticize the inequality and unfairnessin korean economy, but also raise the issues of disjustice in koreaneconomy and require the practical alternatives. In this context, Sen’s practicalconception of justice have great implications for two debates on koreaneconomy. However, In order that Sen’s practical conception of justice acquiresthe practicality, It is necessary to make up for its weak points throughRawls’ideal conception of justice. In this way, even though two debates inKorea require the practical alternatives too, bit in order to this requiements,It is necessary to secure the criterion for equal distribution and fair trading. The Point That practical conception of justice is needed to make up for itsweak points through ideal conception of justice in order to acquires thepracticality is the biggest Lesson that Sen’s conception of justice implicatesDisjustice Problems in Korean Economy.
