청년 미래 성장 지원 방안의 새로운 관점: 30대 싱글들의 일, 주거, 관계를 중심으로

이 연구는 이제까지 우리 사회에서 논의하지 않았던, 그래서 문제로 드러나지 않았던 30대 싱글 청년들의 삶을 편견 없이 들여다보고 이전 세대와 다른 점은 무엇인지, 연속하는 점은 무엇인지 파악하려고 했다. 이들의 삶을 불안하게 하는요인은 무엇이며 이들은 이런 불안정한 요인들에 대해 어떻게 대처하고 있는지이해하려고 노력했다. 우리는 이들의 관심사인 직업, 결혼 및 가족 관계, 주거, 건강 등에 대해 의견을 물었다. 특히, 30대 싱글의 경우 학술 연구와 정책입안자의관심 사각지대에 놓인 청년으로 일종의 사회적 배제를 경험하고 있다. 우리는 이들의 미래 인식에 영향을 미치는 사회적 메커니즘을 분석하고, 이들의 관점에서청년들의 성장 지원을 위한 새로운 미래 비전과 정책적 대안을 제시하려고 한다. 청년들과 청년 연구자들, 다양한 분야의 전문가들과 소통을 통해 청년문제를 재정의하고 청년들의 목소리를 반영해 사회적 의제를 제시할 것이다.
Abstract
This study looks at the lives of young people in their thirties who had not been discussed in our society so far, so that they could not be identified as a problem, and attempt to figure out what was different from the previous generation and what was continuing. We explore what makes their lives unsettling and try to understand how they are coping with these unstable factors. We asked about their interests, their careers, their marriages and family relationships, their housing, and their health. In particular, in the case of singles in their 30s, they are experiencing a kind of social exclusion as a young man in the blind spot of academic research and policymakers’ interest. We analyze the social mechanisms that affect their future perceptions and present new future visions and policy alternatives for young people’s growth from their perspectives. Through communication with young people, young researchers, and experts from various fields, we redefine youth issues and present social agendas reflecting the voices of young people.
